Fourth Street Long Beach, CA 90814 March 16th, 6:30 p.m. Sara Rathbun, Firefighter, Paramedic and Search Dog Handler with the Los Angles County Fire Department March 23rd, 6:30 p.m. Patricia Peanut Manuel, 2009 USA Boxing National Champion Gold Medalist, 2010 USA Boxing National Championships Silver Medalist, Two-Time Golden Gloves Champion 2006 and 2008, National PAL Champion 2006 March 30th, 6:30 p.m. Laura Farinella, First Female Deputy Chief of the Long Beach Police Department April 13th, 6:30 p.m. Jeanne Crdova, Pioneering LGBTQ Writer and Activist will talk about her latest book, When We Were Outlaws: a memoir of Love & Revolution

For Womens History Month, The Center Long Beach will highlight dynamic women with interesting and successful careers in historically male dominated fields. The goal of our Womens History Month Speakers Series is to expose youth and young adults to great female role models and to get them thinking about their own professional paths and careers. All events are open to the public no matter what age. A reception will follow each speaker.
