My main goals for the org next year is to develop first the HR department and the continuance of a growing member base. To do this, advocacy within the school should be focused upon to gain recognition within the student body and promote Baliklayas core competencies to fellow students.

These are the four Gs of an effective EVP: Good conversing skills Genuine concern for org and dedication to advocacy General attention towards all departments Generous time given to make sure duties are fulfilled Good-humored, good-natured, goodhearted What I will do as an EVP: AWARENESS AND PARTICIPATION: An organization, to be effective, must have active member participation. We cant force our members to be active though. I want to encourage the members of Baliklaya to be more active and to be more aware of the organizations mission and vision. If members are more aware of the advocacy, then they will more likely take part in the various projects and activities of the organization. Once a member joins, I want to make sure that he/she is informed of the mission-vision of the organization so that there is a feeling of involvement in the advocacy. There is usually a lack of a sense of involvement

if a member is not even aware of why he/she is part of an advocacy in the first place. We need more members also to have higher chances of being accredited in the upcoming school year. DIALOGUE, NOT MONOLOGUE: I want to encourage effective dialogue between the members and the officers so that the goals of the organization will be met effectively. Through knowing what the say of the members are, I believe that projects will be much more effective. I want to create an atmosphere of cooperation between both parties. Knowing their feedback regarding projects and how we can further improve it will help a lot for the upcoming projects so that if ever there were mistakes made (although we should also try minimizing it), they can be corrected. ACCREDITATION THROUGH SUSTAINABILITY: One of my aims for Baliklaya is its accreditation. With the progress of the organization in the past year, we are finally given a chance at being accredited as an official organization under the Ateneo de Manila University. Through sustainability, accreditation may be achieved. WEEKLY CONSULTATION: One of the tasks of an Executive Vice President is to oversee the executive unit. This task along with the task of supplying progress reports to the President regarding developments affecting the operations of the committees will be met through a weekly consultation with the departments of the organization. The purpose of this is so that the projects will have higher chances of pushing through towards our advocacy. I will ask the heads of the respective departments to report to me and in turn I will be reporting to the President of the organization. This is to make sure that all parts of the organization are kept in check. All these things along with the rest of my duties as an Executive Vice President will be done with passion.
