The Kelantanese, regardless of their ethnic origins, are proud of their states and who they are today. Kelantan Malays are mostly Fatani ethnic group which are the same people of Kedah, Northern Terengganu and Southern Thailand. The minority ethnic inhabitants of Kelantan are mostly centred in an area around the coastal town of Tumpat. Besides Kelantan Malays and Thais, Kelantan Chinese are assimilated as Chinese behaviour as the backstage. Backstage or private behaviour includes maintaining certain Chinese cultures. Orang Asli, mostly Termiar are people who have lived in the forest of Kelantan and Perak for thousands of years.
