When you quote anything that is not your own words, when summarizing facts and ideas from a source, and when paraphrasing a source 6. Keep references brief, give only the information needed to identify the source on your works cited page, and do not repeat unnecessary information. 7. Then you use an abbreviated title. 8. It is unethical, it means a lost learning opportunity, diminishes your credibility, and plagiarism may result in serious penalties.
