Irvings theater fete set turned out for the Let us entertain you themed Lyric Stage Leagues annual Cabaret fundraiser held at the Four Seasons Club in Las Colinas on February 4th benefiting the Lyric Stage. This years headliner included the piano musical stylings of Doug Montgomery accomapanied by sexy song chanteuse Heather Antonisson, who entertained the appreciative crowd with classics to include Gershwins Rhapsody and Blue and a knock out rendition from Carmen. The event was co chaired by Mary Lou and Jim Yarter of Flower Mound, and Lisa Starkweather of Las Colinas. This was the second time for both chairs to be serve as hosts to the appreciative crowd. The Lyric Stage is Dallas Countys only locally produced and professional musical theater company. Since Dr. Steven Jones founded Lyric Stage ion 1993 it has become North Texas most honored theater winnning 35 Dallas TheatreLeague Leone Rabin awards and two special citations for the Dallas Theatre crictics Forum for excellance and innovation. This years exciting season includes Gypsy, Rags, Kismet and will wind up with Oklahoma by Rogers and Hammerstein.
