Anyone who sees in his own occupation merely a means of earning money degrades it; but he that sees

in it a service to mankind ennobles both his labor and himself. The principles we live by create the world we live in, if we change our principles we live by, we will change our world. I am no longer flabbergasted when I hear stories of people who want to have a distinction by helping the people even though their careers can bestow them with luxury and a promise of forever lavishness. There will always be good people who will be change agents who are committed, and live with congruence. There will always be good people who have no desires other than what they appear to have. There will always be good people who will demonstrate service to his fellowmen. The movie, Mulanay, Pusod ng Paraiso depicts a person who wanted to generate immense change to the lives of the poorest of the poor and how she successfully emerged victorious in her goal. The health of a community will always be determined by the way people live their lives, if they want to succeed alone or if they want to succeed altogether or just remain as to what they used to be. There will be issues such as corruption, dishonesty, fraud, ignorance, lack of education, poor health practices, negligence to progress, which add to the expanding poverty in our country. Being a student nurse, I can be a role model. I should be a representation of good practice, lifestyle and health. I should improve myself and strive hard to excel in my studies so that I can be an image of an inspiration for others to become hard working as well. I can be a change agent starting by changing the things I ought to change in order for me to become an effective individual, until then I can have the right to radiate myself to others, for them to be influenced and determined. As a citizen of a country, and having in mind the ambition to become a leader, I will first, develop in myself the proficiency I need to become a good doctor and when that comes, I can then enlarge my scope and enter Department of Health so that I can be able to make a remarkable contribution in my country. But for now, I will have to mold myself into a sterling quality nurse, a nurse who is compassionate and competent. I will abide the rules and regulations of the government. Only until then I can fully become a real role model to everybody.
