John Brown has inspired me in so many ways and it was wonderful to learn so much about him. John Brown is a very inspirational man whom sparked the civil war and lead to the freedom of slaves. He took a stand for what he believed in, no matter how hard it became. People everywhere are indebted to Brown for his heroic deeds which turned our beloved country into what it is today. There are quite a few ways that we went about conducting our expedition to discover John Browns revolt against slavery. First, we began our research down at the Toledo Public Library in Downtown Toledo to find creditable resources on John Brown. Second, browsing the internet through various search engines was a great way to learn more information on the background. Afterward, we search primary sources that will support our thesis. There are many ways to represent my project, but out of the entire category, website fit our topic. Since it is a group project, its hard meeting up every day after school, so the best way was to do a website. Completing the project was a piece of cake since were doing a website. My partner and I were both happy In many ways, John Browns revolt against slavery fits perfectly for the theme of revolution, reform, and reaction. John Brown led many revolution movements such as Bloody Kansas and the Raid on Harpers Ferry. Over time, his actions led to a revolutionary Civil War which eventually led to the freedom of the enslaved African Americans.
