Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) thin films were deposited onto glass substrates by thermal evaporation optical studies. The optical band gap of the films were found to be from 2,6eV to 2.7eV. The conductivity of the films was found to be about ohm-' ern" and found to increase to about 10--6ohm-1cm-1 when films were doped with AI or cu.
