Notice for Research Assignment

All the student of MCA 2nd Semester are required to submit their option (1, 2, or 3) for the assign the undersigned on which they want to submit the research assignment of the subject "Database Management System" latest by 19.01.2012 otherwise the assignment will be assigned by the unde and which will be the final topic. Topic #1

1. Study the data processing system of a manufacturing organization. Formulate the problem syste to database design and then prepare a detailed ER Diagram for the organization. Now translate th Relational Model. Topic #2

1. Study the various documents such as Sales Order, Invoice, Purchase Requisition, etc. of Sales O Processing System of an organization. Derive the various relations from the requirement (state as if any). Now normalize the relations upto 3NF. Topic #3

1. Collect database structure of an Inventory Management System. Implement this database struct Oracle using SQL*Plus and also write some useful triggers to enforce business logics and for auto data entry.
