Habitat for Humanity plans Montgomery County Executive Build


Local Executives roll up their sleeves to support Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (March 29, 2011) Several local executives will participate in Montgomery County Habitat for Humanitys second annual Executive Build on Thursday, March 31. This event will be used to raise awareness in the corporate community of Habitats local affiliate, which has been building homes in Montgomery County since 1989.

This half-day build event will once again be hosted by Larry Abston, Vice President at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Joining him as host this year is Scott Doyle, Regional Vice President with CenterPoint Energy.

The hosts will be joined by other executives from local companies including AIG VALIC, Americas Styrenics, Conroe Machine, Consolidated Communications, Crown Cork & Seal, Halliburton, Panoptic Insurance, St. Lukes The Woodlands Hospital, and Wells Fargo.

Special thank yous go to Lone Star ACE Hardware on Rayford Road, Trophy House in Conroe, and HEB Woodlands Market who made donations to this event.

The group will be hanging siding on a house sponsored by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Anadarko has been sponsoring homes and volunteering with Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity for the past 11 years. The home is in a Habitat-only neighborhood, Cedar Creek, which is located in southeast Conroe.
