1. Project overview
Newsletter is a publication that is distributed on a regular basis to target a particular audience who
share a common interest. Newsletter usually covers a main topic, or theme, with various articles or
advertisements related to the topic or theme. They can be used to promote products or services.
For maintaining, the relationships, as a club or alumni newsletters, offer information to experts on a
particular topic, or offer information on a particular organization. Newsletters sent via e-mail or
standard mail or distributed manually. In this project, we are working in teams to create the theme,
purpose, and content of an online newsletter and to design the layout and graphic elements.
In this project, we work in teams to create the topic, theme, purpose, and content of a newsletter and
to design the layout and graphic elements with Adobe Photoshop CS8 Extended, Adobe in Design CS8,
Adobe Illustrator CS8, and Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro.
Our newsletter is a sports newsletter. We publish it each months first date.

2. Project scope management


2.1.

Requirement collection strategy

For collecting requirements, we use the interview methodology. We discussed directly the people who
use internet. We told about our newsletter to them. Moreover, try to find out their interest. We also use
the social website. We try to accaptable design for newsletter.

2.2.

Project scope overview

Now a day most of the people are interested about sports. However, in our country there is no perfect
sports magazine. Therefore, we publish an online newsletter about sports. We talked with various firms
for advertisements. They insure us.

2.3.

Project acceptance criteria

Our newsletter is online newsletter. We send it via e-mail. If we get six percent replay, we think this is a
great achievement.

Project deliverable

We will deliver the newsletter via e-mail. We also upload it in social website.

Project constrains

There are some problems in here. Many people cannot open their e-mail every day. They did not see the
newsletter and no replay to them.

We discuss with an authority who already published the newsletter. We just copy their templates for
estimating the activities.

Project milestone

Our projects milestone is to finished design the layout and graphic elements, theme, purpose, and
content of a newsletter. However when it is prepear to send.

Our newsletter is monthly newsletter. We published it evrty months first date. So if we start our work
the date between 10 to 12, we deliver it on time.

4. Project cost management


4.1.

Project budget

The projects budget is tk.35000.


We collected tk.25000 from advertisement and we provide rest of money.

Project cost control strategy

To control the cost we use the Earned Value Eanagement method.

5. Project quality management


5.1.

Project quality requirements

Formal and anyone acceptable formet for the newsletter. Creative graphic design and includes recent
information. Little advertisement. We have a quality assurance team who observe the whole process.

5.2.

Project quality assurance and control strategy

We include an option in newsletter. In there the customer suggests us, how we improve the newsletters
quality. Then our team discusses about this suggestion and if these are acceptable, we accept it. We use
qualitative and quantities matrices for measure customers satisfaction.
We have a team who try to identify the problems of newsletter. They analysis that problem and
correcting the problem.

6. Project human resource management


6.1.

Project team structure

We have six team for overall task. Team 1 includes 2 people who collect e-mail. Team 2 includes 2
people. They arrange and select e-mail. Team 3 includes two people, they identify the topic. Team 4,
they collect information, the team have 5 members. In team 5 they have 2 members, they have the task
design and type. We have a e-mail sender.

Project roles and responsibilities

The team members must maintain the time. They are responsible for own task.

7. Conclusion
Project management is very important task for every project. If a project does not properly manage, the
project may be failure. In our project, every team member is responsible for his own task. I think if the
project manager is responsible for his own project and properly manage the team member, this project
must be successful.
