Stone The quote is a proverb that defines rolling stone as figurative nomads that does not settle in one place therefore, using moss in the context as ideas/responsibilities or basically anything that a person will be liable or garner from. 2) Familiarity breathes contempt Variables: Familiarity and Contempt Operational Definition: Familiarity intimacy / closeness between individuals Contempt- to detest one another. Familiarity in the context defines the intimacy between two individuals and how it can establish a feeling to scorn one another (contempt.) 3) When the cats away, the mouse will play Variables: Cat and Mouse Operational Definition: Cat Controlling entity / Protagonist / Oppressor of a situation Mouse Subordinate entity / Antagonist /Liberator that takes advantage of the circumstance whenever the oppressor is absent. 4) Absence makes the heart grow fonder Variables: Absence and Heart Operational Definition: Absence- A state/occasion or period of being away from an individual Heart Mutual feelings between the individuals / Love / Infatuation / Emotion 5) Fences make good neighbors Variables: Fences and Neighbors Fences Barriers / Guards / to serve as an obstacle that prevents communication or that keeps people apart.
