Helping the enviroment

It is thought that modern environmental issues are so complicated that a person alone can do nothing about them.It doesn`t have to be necessarily true. In our times people have made big breakthroughs in science and medicine. There are many things we can do. We have flown in space, we can treat many dangerous diseases and we may fast cover long distances. But one thing we do not care about is our environment. Our planet suffers from our activity. Many people think that there is no purpose for making little improvements in their behaviours for the environmental benefit. Despite what these people believe there are a huge number of environmental issues that can be solved step by step thanks to individuals.The most important changes that could make a difference for the future Earth are: recycling and using"green" means of transportation. Firstly, recycling waste such as plastic, paper or aluminum cans reduces carbon dioxide and that means a reduction of global warming causes.There are different ways of recycling: not only making the recycling program of your town or school, but also using papers and glass more times before wasting them.It is often said that recycling programs are only a drop in the ocean because too few people participate, however ,this project was created just few years ago and an increasing awarness ,with the aim of social advertisement, has been seen in the last years. Secondly, going to work sharing a car (commonly known as car-pool) or with the bicycle or with trains will lead to a reduction of pollution. Although a number of people think that these are uncomfortable ways of travel, nowadays car pooling is becoming very popular because it provides not only environmental but also economical benefit. Moreover, another major thing that needs to be done and in which everyone can play a part is to ensure that the representatives we elect do, indeed represent us.We give them authority to act on our behalf and protect our interests. Can there be anything more important than the survival of the planet upon which we live?

From my point of view it is only indifference when people refuse to make just this simple changes in their life.We must look to next generation and not leave them a destructed planet .In my opinion individuals actions can make a difference.
