Introduction The purpose of this report is to present the events organized by the Local Entertainments Committee, over the

past year: the theatre trip, the @Music Evening@ and the Annual Party. THE THEATRE TRIP The theatre trip took place on the 19th of March. The activity consisted in a travel to the Aridoe Theatre in order to watch a modern comedy named The Misunderstanding and a trip back by coach. Advertising was done by leaflets and posters distributed all over the area. Despite this fact, there were not many people who participated, so more advertising is to be done by our next event of this type. On this account and the fact that the trip by coach was expensive, there was not any profit to be made. The tickets were at a low cost and were to be found at Mike Rogers, the manager of the Committee. However, the few theatergoers appreciated the performance and found it very entertaining, confirming the view on the play of the local newspapers. MUSIC EVENING The Music evening took place on the 20th of June, in the Main Hall. The most appreciated local bands were invited, therefore, the audience could enjoy a wide range of music: from jazz, classic rock, blues and opera, to rap and salsa. All the tickets available were purchased before the event. The managers had to choose from a large number of skillful local singers and bands, so the quality of the event was superior.
