Gerrit has a record of entering new markets, setting up, staffing and running operations. He is experienced at managing technical risk, the turnaround of private equity investments as well as corporate crisis consulting. Gerrit has consulted to several private businesses, including settlement of long outstanding issues related to the Spier, Hollard, Nandos and Conservation Corporation groups. Prior to this, Gerrit was employed by the Mettle Limited group. His primary successes included: The elimination of cross-divisional risks; the creation of two businesses in Namibia and Zimbabwe, the running of European operations and developing European cross-border funding structures. Gerrit completed his articles with Arthur Andersen & Co, Cape Town, from 1993 1995.
