Neuburger ENG 101-130 27 March 2012 Summary Survival Testimony I watched a survival testimony video over a Jewish woman named Edith Coliver. She was born on July 26 1922 in a state called Karlsruhe. While Edith was going up she lived with her Mother, Father Grandma and two younger brothers. In 1933 her family traveled all over Germany. A few months before the Holocaust broke out her Uncle that lived in the United States asked Edith if she would like to stay with him during that time period. She thought about it and told him no because she wanted to live through it right by her moms side. She lived through the Holocaust crying almost every day. The coliver family stayed in their house and shared it with 5 families. The Coliver family stayed downstairs in the living room while the other families stayed up stairs in the bedrooms. Edith had several friends growing up, one of her closest friends she had died in the concentration camp when she was just a little girl. When Edith grew older she moved to San Francisco California after the holocaust was over. A Few months later she went back to Germany to visit her friends and family.
