80% of the population say that the media stereotypes the LGBT Community.
The majority of people are still not clear on the
term LGBT. The brand new documentary on channel 4 intends to focus on this new term, but it is also trying to explore whether people are still ignorant towards Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders. It is being researched that it is a matter of self identity, and the LGBT Community is there to help and guidance people who makes part of this group of sexuality. It is proven that people above the age rate of 30 years old are a bit ignorant towards this topic and also it depends reagards the area wich themperson lives or eventhough the culture that you were brought up by.

Even in contemporary society people are still ignorant towards gay people
Therefore The Rainbow is a documentary where it explores the different perspectives from different people, and in which they get a clearer understanding of what is Ignorance, Tolerance and Acceptance towards LGBT Community. The main focus of this documentary is to try to make people who are ignorant, get a bit more confortable and tolerant towards this topic. It includes major examples from influential ignorant opinions, such as from the Westboro Baptist Church in the USA, to major influences towards the acceptance of LGBT such as Stonewall Charity, where you can be able to access different campaigns that promotes the acceptance towards LGBT. (SOME PEOPLE ARE GAY, GET OVER IT).
