Young Leonardo da Vinci lived in Vinci.

When he was a young teenager his father took him to Florence to study art. Leonardo was an engineer, an architect, a musician, a philosopher, an astronomer. He was asked to make a bronze horse by the ruler of Florence to give to the duke of Milan. Leonardo wanted to make a mark in history. Leonardo would spend all his time studying the muscles of a horse or statue of a horse. November 1493 he completed the 24 foot clay model. In 1499 the french and the rain destroyed the clay model. Leonardo died a shamed about how he never completed his bronze horse.
