Aim: To study production and optimization of crude xylanase from cheaper agro residues as substrates by Aspergillus species isolated

from soil. Objectives: 1. To isolate xylanase producing fungi from soil. 2. To screen for the best xylanase producing fungii from the isolates using xylan agar medium.i.e. qualitative analysis. 3. To identify the fun 4. To study the crude xylanase production for various parameters 5. To carry out the production of xylanase from agro residues in media using solid substrate fermentation. The substrates are as follows: Soya beans Corn cobs Rice husks Wheat bran Saw dust

6. To extract crude xylanase from the fermentation media using appropriate solvent. 7. To optimize the xylanase enzyme for different ph and temperature. 8. To check for the stability of enzyme for various ph and temperature. 9. To check the efficacy of the crude enzyme preparation whether it can clarify the thick fruit juice and thus apply it in industries.
