    Recently, I was engaged in a research project called Modular Concrete Hollow Blocks, where we experimented with the innovation

    of adding ash from sugar cane bagasse to concrete. The project was funded by the CNPQ, a Brazilian national research foundation. During the project, I had the opportunity to work with different types of materials, as we experimented with additions to the concrete. At the end of the project, we submitted our ideas to an international concrete congress called IBRACON. Our work was accepted and we presented it in November 2011.
