PLACEMENT NOTICE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR

Position: High School Technical Education Teacher

Burlington High School is seeking an energetic technology education teacher in a growing department. Technology Education is a valued component of Burlington High Schools curriculum. We have updated to new technologies across the spectrum in Technology Education. Burlington High School is one of eight schools in the country to receive a national grant for the development of a model construction academy integrating the core academic areas into the field of construction. Burlington High School enjoys several innovative partnerships with local businesses and organizations including the Wisconsin General Contractors Association and Gateway Technical College. These partnerships have helped to provide multiple and diverse opportunities for students to learn and to excel. Staff members take pride in the commitment to student learning. Candidates who are interested in making such a commitment are encouraged to apply. Wisconsin certification DPI License 220 Technology Education. PLTW certified and/or STEM certified requested. Proficiency to teach introductory level and upper level courses is required. Computer certification and/or Spanish-bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
