Finally the weeks of early morning band practice has paid off!

Last week, at Le Parc Conference Centre the Ontario Band Festival, Markham District swept away the adjudicators. With gold awards from our grade 10, 11 and 12 bands and one silver award from our grade 9 ensemble, our school did a fabulous job. In addition to these awards, Mr. Caswell also received the Best Conductor award and our senior percussion section was also awarded as the best senior Percussion section. Furthermore, our grade 10, 11 and 12 ensembles have also been invited to nationals. Also, congratulations to our grade 10 band who had a wonderful performance at the York University Invitational Festival. It was a night of amazing performances from bands from all across Ontario. Congratulations to all our music students and teachers! Great job everyone!
