Akin Cheese Odeleye Induction Speech

I met Akin last year when he was the Master Carpenter for Little Shop of Hours during which he showed me everything I know about set building. From the correct way to leg stairs to how to stop flats from falling on people, Akin was the very best of teachers. I knew we would be good friends, however, when halfway through the process we had a shop late night during which he coined the nickname Israel for me, after which he has called me by nothing else. Since joining the Glee Club Akin has proved himself to be an invaluable tech member. From staying late to record voice overs to the time he put in at the shop, he worked hard to make our spring show a success. Additionally he has integrated himself into the social aspect of club by leading us to the cheapest, best Brazilian steak house in the city and spending an unforgettable night with Lance in Atlantic City. I am so glad to be the one to welcome Akin into the Penn Glee Club and in closing I would like to say, were even for the Israel thing.
