    First extract the downloaded zip file of firmware and place it to known place in your PC. 2. Start the downloaded Odin software. 3. Switch off your Galaxy S. 4. Boot your Galaxy S in download mode , to do that switch off your phone then press and hold Volume down+ Home+ Power buttons simultaneously. 5. Now connect your Galaxy S to your PC using USB cable. 6. Odin will detect your device device. 7. Now browse the below file in different tabs of Odin.In PDA tab CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 In PHONE tab MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_CL1092175.tar.md5 In CSC tab GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar.md5 You will find all these files in the folder where you extract the zip file in step 1 8. After done all this just click on the tab START in Odin. 9. Now your flashing will begin. Wait to complete. 10. After complete your device will automatically reboots and you find the official Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread running in your Samsung Galaxy S.
