Report On Kajian Sosial Club Society Nurul Jannah Binti Hussin 21 September 2011

2011 has been another successful year for the Kajian Sosial Society Club of IPG KDRI. A number of activities were carried out under the guidance of our two lecturer advisers, Puan Hajah Anisah and Cik Nurhijrah. The purposes of the activities were to foster the relationship between the club members and to raise a fund for unfortunate people.

1. Annual General Meeting About 90 members attended the Annual General Meeting held on 23 February 2011. The following students were elected as office bearers. President : Pusparajan Secretary : Nurul Jannah Treasurer : Nur Shamimi Other committee members elected were Zainab Asilah, Muhamad Aiyad and Aminnulhakim. 2. Educational Trip The society organized a day trip to the Rumah Kasih, one of the orphanage in Pahang on 20 March 2011. There are about 100 of students joined this trip along with our lecturer advisers. Here, students had cleaning the orphanage and carried out activities such as storytelling, singing, and motivation with the orphans. Then, on 21 March 2011, the society organized a trip to the Utusan newspaper office in

Kuantan. Students got first-hand information about how nemspapers are produced. We also had a taste of what it was like to be a journalist. 3. Fund-raising Activity As the aim of this club is to help the unfortunate people, the society had raised a fund in the IPG compound. It included two fund-raising activities, namely a food sale and the sale of second-hand books. The society managed to raise more than RM3000 from both activities. The society was able to carry out its activities successfully because of the high commitment and dedication of its members. We highly hope that in future, this society will become more success and can achieve the goal to help the unfortunate people from our country.
