The Lord is My Light and My Salvation

Dearest Father, The days will come when my eyes wont be able to see the beauty of the flowers you made for me, Still, I will remain in peace, for You are the light I clearly see. The days will come when my ears wont be able to hear the sweet chirping of the birds flying around me, Still, I will remain in harmony for You are the sound that keeps me alive in total serenity. The days will come when my hands wont be able to feel the freshest air You have offered me, Still, I will linger in comfort for You are the wind that carries me. The days will come when my feet wont be able to feel the calm presence of the green grass you have set for me, Still, I will remain steadfast because of the knowledge of your love. The days will come when foes will laugh at my deepest pains, Still, I will remain in concord for you have promised me your console. The days will come when my possessions will perish and the beauty that I used to own will fade, Still I will remain in richness for what Ill gain is you joy. The days will come when the laughter I used to hold will become tears of loses, Still I will remain in delight for you have given me hope. My Dearest Father, everything I have may fade and weaken, everything I hold may die and looses, all things that I used to cling to may not be the same as before, but whatever happens, whatever I may face, I will fear not Oh Lord, for you are my Lord, my light and my salvation St. John Baptist de la Salle, Pray for us.
