Hi Experts, We have created one material code and created BOM, routing, production version. But by mistake the base unit of measure maintained NOS inplace of KG. Now we have deleted the BOM (CS02), routing (CA02), production version (C223) and production order (CO02). We have not done any transaction in this material in any plant. When we are changing the base unit of measure (MM02), the following error is coming. " Routing already exists and assigned to material." " Production order already exists and assigned to material" What should we do. Matter is urgent. Full points to helpful answers. GR

I have changed the BUOM on a few materials. It isn't pretty. The steps I went thru are: ELIMINATE STOCK IN PREVIOUS PERIOD ELIMINATE STOCK IN CURRENT PERIOD ELIMINATE ALL REQUIREMENTS ? ORDERS, PURCHASE ORDERS, DELIVERIES, ETC? . ELIMINATE BOM ELIMINATE ROUTINGS ELIMINATE INFO RECORDS DELETE ALTERNATE UOM DELETE EAN AND CATEGORY ?? SOMETHING FOR ACCOUNTING USE MM02 TO CHANGE BUOM Then add all of the above back using the new BUOM. Hope this helps.

Correct Answer by Shyamal Joshi on Sep 2, 2008 10:36 AM Hi Kaushal, You need to delete it from the table also. The table is MAPL To delete entry from table 1. Run trx SE16n (preferable) or SE16. 2. Enter the Table MAPL.

3. Enter the group and counter number. 4. Now in the command window (Where you type the T Codes) type "_&sap_edit_". And press enter. 5. A message such "SAP editing function is activated" will flash. 6. Execute 7. Delete the entry. Then change the UOM
