University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, popularly known as UVCE, is an engineering college affiliated to the Bangalore University, and is located i galore, India. The college was established in the year 1917, by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The college is approved by the AICTE and the Governme arnataka. The departments are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.

It has produced a number of professional graduates and postuates, who are placed in very high positions in India and abroad. The admission of students to the undergraduate courses is entirely on the basis of merit ugh the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the state government. Normally, the top-ranking students of the Common Entrance Test choose this ge for their admission. The entrance to post-graduate courses is through the Degree, GATE and entrance test results.

Among the various engineering colleges in Karnataka, UVCE was the earliest to have offered post-graduate courses.
