Web 2.0Second version of World Wide Web.. is a slackly defined part of web application services that provides Online Sharing of information Communication & Collaboration between two or more people. Interoperability User-centered design

It is also known as: New internet Internet 2.0

Examples of Web 2.0 services: Calendaring (Google calendar), Search engine(Live search), RSS(Blog lines), Blogs(Wordpress), Online Storage(Box.net) and Wiki(pdwiki) etc.

History :
The term "Web 2.0" was first used in January 1999 by Darcy DiNucci, a consultant on electronic information design. In her article, "Fragmented Future".

It was officially coined in a conference on the subject in 2004 by :

Dale Dougherty, a vice-president of OReilly Media Inc. (the company famous for its technologyrelated conferences and high quality books) during a team discussion on a potential future conference about the Web (OReilly, 2005a) and CMP Media (later taking its parent name of United Business Media).

Web 2.0 is not a specific technology; rather, it refers to two major paradigm shifts: The one most often touted is "user-generated content," which relates more to individuals. The second, which is equally significant, but more related to business, is "cloud computing."

Web 2.0 provide the user with more user-interface, software and storage facilities, all through their browser. A rich, interactive, user-friendly interface based on Ajax or similar frameworks. It has more in the social networking. RIA-Rich Internet Application. WOA-Web-oriented Architecture. It provides ability to sharing of information and services with ease, and made possible through the implementation of intuitive modular elements.
