COMPARISON/CONTRAST

EARTH/JUPITER

Brandon Ahmed November 8, 2011

Point by Point
Although Earth and Jupiter are both planets in our galaxy, they are very different. First, Jupiter contains no gravity or oxygen. Therefore, this planet doesnt possess life at all. Earth, on the other hand, contains many elements for humans and other species keep on living such as oxygen. Second, Jupiters outer orbit consists of 64 moons and 4 rings. Because of this, it takes about 11 years for Jupiter to orbit the sun while the Earth only orbits the sun in 365 days (1 year). In addition, the Earth only has one moon so its gravitational pull is a lot faster than Jupiters. Lastly, both planets differ in their distance from the sun. Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun; consequently, its very cold, and with very little of day light. Unlike Jupiter, the Earth is the third planet from the sun making the distance perfect. Because of these differences, the Earth will remain the perfect planet to live on for many organisms.
