THE ASTRAL PLANES AND OTHER WORLDS OF SPIRIT

The spirit realms are enerally descrihed as dimensions or planes distinuishahle hy the dillerent
densities and vihratory rates (or lrequencies) ol the suhstances they contain, and the various
dimensions are said to interpenetrate, existin in the same space. Dillerent people have divided
these inlinite realms into dillerent numhers ol vihratory reions (olten seven, nine or twelve), and
various names have heen used hy dillerent people to dillerentiate amon these reions. Ior most
ol us livin in the physical world and preoccupied hy its material comlorts, those are heady
concepts. So it may he easier to visualize the spiritual planes alined concentrically. The physical
plane ( the world around us, our conscious reality) is composed ol comparatively dense, slowly
vihratin matter. The astral planes are enerally divided into the lower, middle, and hiher,
althouh each division actually contains many, many divisions ol varyin vihratory rates. Alter we
have shed our physical hody, most ol us reportedly wake up in our astral hody livin in the
specilic astral plane in which suhstance is vihratin at the same rate as the suhstance ol our astral
hody. This is sometimes called our home lrequency. Durin our lives on Earth and heyond we
determine our vihratory rate hy out thouhts, attitudes and spiritual understandin. Iear and
resentment produce low vihrations, while love produces very hih vihrations, while orthodox
closed - mindedness (whether reliious, scientilic or political) produces low vihrations.
Attachments to worldly thins creates low vihrations, while calm detachment in the Eastern
