Current research of textbooks, online databases and the Internet proposes that there is much theory, recent articles, reports and Web sites dedicated to effective leadership. It is the purpose of this literary review to narrow the research to leadership qualities and methods required to achieve positive results in an organization, methods to identify appropriate problems in an organization, reasons for failure of organizational initiatives, why solutions fail during implementation and do not yield sustainable results and suggestions for improving performance.
