Assalam o Alekum. I am Manaal Ashar from North Nazimabad Primary V of class IV-F.

The topic under discussion today is that Children should be allowed to go out with their friends alone. I have chosen to speak against it. In my opinion children should not be allowed to go out alone because of the very changed and consistently growing insecure environment in the society we live in. We regularly hear incidents on child kidnapping in our city. Also, the growing crimes against the children wherein the small kids are forced to work hard labor work. The safety and security of the public in general and for the kids in particular is becoming from bad to worst that does not permits at all to let the children go alone. Yes, I agree that it could hamper the growth of self confidence in the kids but it wont affect their overall security and safety which is far more important than any other aspect of life. Thus, we can do anything and can work on betterment of various aspects of our lives if we are alive and feel safe and secure rather than falling into trap of kidnapping and harassment. Apart from kidnapping also if the parents do not keep an eye on their kids where and when they are going and returning could also lead the kids to have unwanted/ undesirable company of that would affect their overall behavior and grooming. Moreover, if the children are allowed to go alone they would start spending much time outside their home and the same would affect their studies as well as they would start spending most of their time outside the home that can also affect their ties within the family with the passage of time. It is also seen that once the parents start letting the kids to go alone outside then these kids do not take care of their eating habits and start eating much junk food that also affect their health badly. In view of all these facts I strongly believe that the children should not be allowed to go alone.
