The Grand Machination

Alvaro del Campo When can it be said that life has begun? When does the time come where its all said and done? With all the family, the friendship, the fun, And the unfaltering jump of the gun? Now although it compares to none, How is the world so cruel to just one, Just one gear in this grand machination, Whose purpose cannot be exposed or outdone? And why would one even try to outrun, This perfectly flawed unsaid pun, Of such a grand and subtle creation, So unstable in the way it is run? Why would one ever want to shun, A friend or even his son, Just to see how long the thread can be spun? Standing aside, this scenario may stun, The great, almighty being in the sun, Just to see what our people have done, His rage would hammer down like a ton, Of bricks, from a house come undone, It is a game that cannot be won, In this endless machination.
