HARMFUL EFFECTS OF OPIUM Included in the list of opium effects are feelings of numbness (you cant feel pain

or stress), a strange sense of euphoria and emotional detachment from events and other people, loss of appetite, and drowsiness. Of course, the more harmful opium effects happen to be vomiting, increased urination and sweating (which lead to dehydration if ignored), impaired vision, loss of conscious focus and, most alarmingly, death. the harmful effects of opium, such as respiratory difficulties, lung edema, coma, or even respiratory collapse, even with a very small dose of opium. Regular use of the drug leads to physical dependence towards and tolerance against the drug. The opium high is similar to that of the heroin high. It gives a feeling of pleasure with euphoria, relaxation, numbness from pain and alleviation from anxieties, it also results in reduction in the breathing and the pupils of the eye become erect. It also inhibits the muscle movement in the bowels leading to constipation. When the drug is consumed by smoking, it may dry the mouth and the mucous membranes in the nose. It also results in loss of appetite and drowsiness, vomiting, increased urination and sweating, impaired vision, decreased sexual urge, abnormal mood swings, etc.
