Learning record REDD and Climate Change Group Individual activity 5, EVS Stage 5

At the beginning of this seminar, I didnt have enough knowledge and previous experience about REDD, about what REDD really is (Ive only read some aids and informations from some links). But now all these have changed! During these 5 stages, I saw what REDD is, if it is useful, I analysed the role of REDD in climate change, I gathered more data about REDD and I found out what is the European Union position in the UNREDD Programme. I have also analysed and focused on the European Union's aspect on REDD, first individually and then as a group (for our final research). I guess the most difficult stage was the 4th, the elaboration of our case study. But it was also the most useful one, because this is the stage in which I gathered the most data about REDD and about EUs position in the process of REDD. After I gathered all these informations about REDD for our research, the most difficult thing for me was to put in on paper. Unfortunately, in the end we remained only three people in our REDD group, but together, we did a great job! For our case study, we distribute the tasks between each team member. We also put a lot of efforts and ideas for this research! To write this paper, we first tried to answer to our basic research question which is about how European Union approaches and acts towards the challenges of REDD as part of global sustainable development and we devided our research in two important parts. During these 5 stages of EVS seminar, I got some abilities: I learned how to work as a group, how to listen to the other members opinions. It was a completely new experience for me and I liked it. what the knowledge levels of the other group members are and I have learned some new things about REDD from them. I have found out what each group member would like to learn, which are the existing knowledge for each member of the group and what they would like to do during the next stages. As ways of learning, I used primary sources, which consist of: policy papers, government publications, study reports and research of NGOs and institutions, essays, journalistic articles, etc. But I have also used a lot of internet links. And in the end I should say that I was very pleased with my team, my tutor and expert! They all took their roles seriously!
