Design Center officer: This letter expresses my strong interest in the summer and spring internship opportunities of PMC-Sierra, Inc for Design and Verification Engineer. As a professional electronic company, the highly integrated solutions from your engineers greatly increased the efficiency in many different industries and I would like to become one of them. I am currently a full time international student at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Electrical Engineering. As a senior level EE student, my study now is more focused on electronic design, especially I have great interests in digital and analog design. I believe that the brilliant of human engineers is not only to build the spectacular, but also to build the tiny and the efficient. And I also believe your company would be a great place to apply my technical knowledge and achieve my ambitions. I am currently working in one of my Professors digital lab as an undergraduate labassistant intern. The project we are working on is a model of an electronic pill which could capture images and catch information by ultra sound inside a human body. Working with other graduate students and PhD student, my main task is to design the PCB layout for the model, finding out the optimal solutions and test the circuit. Meanwhile I am also working on my digital design and analog design project. My digital design project is to build up a micro controller chip circuit starting with the transistor level and semiconductor layout level. On the other hand, the main task of my analog project is to build up our own operation amplifier which mainly contains the input stage, differential stage, second gain stage and output stage. Working with my other two team mates makes the task much more efficiency and enjoyable. Thank you for your time, I really treasure this opportunity.
