OK, here how to fix the issue, if it's still not working for you...

verified 100 % working for many users using that trick. 1- delete manually all presence of punkbuster: c:\windows\system32\PnkBstr*.* (4 files) c:\windows\system32\drivers\PnkBstrK.sys (1 file) (your path, usually c:\program files)...\origin games\battelfield 3\pb (remove c ompletely the directory named "pb") c:\users\(name you're using)\AppData\local\punkbuster (remove completely the dir ectory named "punkbuster") to access "appdata" you might need to make visible system/hidden folders and you might need administrator rights Note: In case you cannot delete one or more files because the service is already running, just apply point 2 then do point 1 all over again. Sometimes the PnkBs trA service is running and don't allow you to remove some files. You need to sto p it first. 2- use pbsvc.exe and select "uninstall/remove punkbuster service". Remove punkbu ster. you can download it from evenbalance at http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbs vc/pbsvc.exe [evenbalance.com] 3- reboot 4- use pbsvc.exe (same you used point 2) but this time select "install/re-instal l punkbuster service". 5- use pbsetup.exe and re-install your games you can download it from evenbalance at http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?pag e=pbsetup.php [evenbalance.com] 6- reboot 7- use pbscv.exe (same you used at points 2 and 4) to make sure all is working ( use "test services" this time). If not, re-install from point 4 again. 8- play! Enjoy PS: this fix punkbuster new update installation, not any other issues related to firewalls, antispywares, antivirus, routers, ports forwarding, registry, etc... It assumes you have no issues connecting to internet whatsoever and all is set right!
