BSCS 3 A la juventud Filipina

March 9, 2012

This poem talks about Rizal giving praise to Spain for all the benefits that they gave to the Philippines. It shows how great the depiction Rizal gave to the Spanish kings, generals, and explorers in a manner of patriotism. He pictured out education as something very, very precious. He also wrote something about one of his Spanish teachers, explaining that he was an inspiration to Rizal. The main protagonists of the poem though are the Filipino youth, which he sees as the future. He considers our minds to be the catalysts for the future. The Filipino youth is also seen as the hope of our country. It also mentions that Spain gave something very valuable to the Filipino people. For me, this only shows that despite Rizal praising the Spanish for all the things they gave to us, the Filipino youth is the future for our country. It shows that we are the catalysts of the future, we will drive our country to success.
