 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Ro.12:11 (NIV) The passionate, pursuit of God is the NORM for every believer, not the exception. It is easier to slide into a life of passivity in an ON-FIRE church than a dead church!

 WHY?
1. It becomes easy to let others get a word from God FOR you. 2. It becomes easy to let others minister TO you and FOR you and you never give out. River vs. Dead Sea 3. It becomes easy to take for granted the presence of God who always seems to be there, and Hell be there for me-- when I need Him.

 The writer of Hebrews warned us about this process with some key instruction:

 Years ago I lost my fervor and zeal for God. It led me on a downward road that I never want to traverse again. I fight to keep my fire and zeal before God. This flame and its fire is my central discipline in life. Learn from Christian in Pilgrims Progress
