Bryant 1 Whitney Bryant Just wanted to start this off thanking you for helping me with the MLA

format. Ms. Caruso ENGL 1102 9 April 2012 Loves Tragedy: Real Feelings Hidden Love is defined as a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, for a parent, child, or friend. Tragedy is defined as an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress, such as a serious accident, crime, or natural catastrophe. LOVE IT This movie is the perfect example of how two completely different words LOVE & TRAGEDY can sadly come together as one. Loves Tragedy is the story of three Rwandan girls, with three different ethnic backgrounds, who all meet and become best friends, despite that their ethnic group has either been ignored, is the most powerful, or either victims of mass killings. The three girls try to remain faithful to their friendship through the Rwandan Genocide of 1994. But through hardships, decline in power, mass killings, and the tribulations of the genocide, they could not hold on to their love, because in the end true feelings are revealed through the most shocking catastrophic events. This is looking great with your information and details so far! This story unfolds the Rwandan genocide and the assassination of the president Juvenal Habyiarama, from three different aspects of ethnic and culture. This movies most intended purpose is to show that trust was hard to come by during the Rwandan genocide. And that power knows nothing but failure in this Rwandan government. I honestly dont know what to say after this paragpraph Its hands down one of the best opening paragrapghs Ive read. You quote is very strong along with the support and story about the Rwanda Genocide following. I wouldnt touch a single thing in this paragraph for your final paper. I never get it right. This is a good reminder and hopefully I have it down now!

Bryant 2 For a clear picture of the characters being presented I chose real life celebrity actresses to play my main character roles. Jumping to characters. Smoother transition needed here.Nadine who is played by Angela Basset, is one of Loves Tragedys three main characters. Nadine is the mystery villain in this movie. Nadine is a 27 year old Hutu/Rwandan woman who has also gained to love her two friends, although they are different ethnically. Being that Nadine is Hutu, her ancestors are of course from Rwanda, she is very wealthy at this time in the movie, because Hutu has control over government for a section of the movie. She is very independent and smart although 35% of her income comes from her family wealth, which comes from currently being in governmental power. Very specific and descriptive. Its good but is this the right time/place for this? She meets her friends in high school via elections. Even though Nadine has all the room in the world to brag over Tutsi she doesnt belittle them. She strongly believes that everyone should be equal, even though her parents similar opinion changes in the movie and so does her own. Her parents are Danny Glover and Phylicia Rashad, and her husband is Denzel Washington. Heres were I would be careful It may be because my paper has a different layout than your but I would wouldnt go into this much detail about the characters in the proposal. If you do bring up the characters maybe explain the role or position of the three in a quick summary but youve drawn out Nadines story here and I feel like thats a bit risky. I would focus more on explaining why you picked the Rwanda Genocide or what you want to get across to the viewers. Desciring the characters isnt bad its just you describe a lot about Nadine here then threw in like two other characters at the bottom. I just feel like thats off topic of the final concept proposal.
