Bhnga Sattva is used for the purpose of Vajra drvana;


This Sattva also enhances the potency of both Prada as well as

Vajra.

Bhngas are washed, dried and powdered;


This powder of Bhnga is grinded with Bhringarja swarasa,

Nimbu swarasa and Nirgund swarasa for 3 days (grinding should


be done with each of the swarasa for 1 day);
After 3 days, this paste is again grinded with the drugs of Drvaka

gana and made into small round balls (vatakas);


These balls are kept enclosed in an assemble of two strong

crucibles (arva samputa);


This Samputa is kept in Koshti and heated in Tvrgni for 2 danda
(48 mts);

After Swngaita, the resultant mixture is sieved through a cloth;

Heavy, large granules resembling the size of Sarshapa are

collected;
1/12th of odhita Tmra is added to these granules and heated in a
crucible on Tvrgni
After Swngasta, large particles (granules) of Sattva is collected
and washed well;
This Bhnga Sattva is otherwise called Khara Sattva.

Bhnga Sattva Mrana: (Rasatarangini 17/ 119 120)


Ingredients:
1) Bhnga Sattva

- 1 Pala (4 Tola)

2) odhita Prada
- Pala (2 Tola)
3) odhita Gandhaka - 1 Pala (4 Tola)
First, Kajjal is prepared with odhita Prada & odhita Gandhaka;

Bhnga Sattva is added to this Kajjal and grinded;


This compound of Kajjal & Bhnga Sattva is kept in arvasamputa

and subjected to Gajaputa; (3 times)


Bhnga Sattva Bhasma thus obtained can be used as a substitute

for Tmra Bhasma.
