BSCI/SA8000 both are basically follows the Labour Standard of International Labour Organisation (ILO).

The following things are coming under this audit : 1. Freedom of Association : It's mean that there should be no restriction to workers to join or become member of any union/committee. 2. No discrimination : Wages/ Increment/Bonus and all other benefits which are given to workers are totally depends upon their performance, not on Cast/Origin/Sex/Colour/Community etc. 3. No Child Labour : This is a very important point. Establishment should have a clear policy for not engage any child labour as per factories act. And must follow the act. 4. Minimum Wages : Every establishment should maintain minimum wages rate as per govt. notification. No worker should pay less than Min. Wages rate. 5. Working Hrs. : Working Hrs. should be as per Factories Act. 6. No forced Labour : Nothing should be kept by establishment (Original Certificates/Documents) which can be cause of forcefull employment of worker. 7. Safety & Health : Work station should be clear from any type of blockage, healthy, safe from any type of danger and airy. 8. Safe environment : Establishment should have proper drainage system, solid/liquid waste management and should not do anything by which environment can be polluted. I think these eight points very inportant for BSCI/SA8000 Audit. Plz. find the attachment for documents/ records to maintain for that audit.
