Dear Neighbor: You may qualify for the Borough's Sidewalk Repair Program. This program has been initiated by the Borough of Roselle Park to repair sidewalks that have been severely lifted or damaged by a Borough tree planted between the sidewalk and curb line. For your convenience, I have attached an application for the Sidewalk Repair Program to this letter. The application has additional information about the program and the qualifying criteria. Please note that not all applications are guaranteed for approval. All applications are evaluated and subsequently addressed on a "first-come first serve basis." SIDEWALK PROGRAM The Borough of Roselle Park is accepting requests for the Sidewalk Repair Program. Under this program, the Borough will consider requests for repair of those sidewalks that are cracked, broken or severely lifted by trees planted between the sidewalk and the curb line. Requests are accepted on a "first come-first serve basis" and are not guaranteed for approval. There will be a limit on the number of repairs. If approved, the sidewalk will be repaired at the expense of the Borough of Roselle Park. The criteria for requests are as follows: The sidewalk must be broken or cracked by roots of a tree planted between the sidewalk and curb line. Lifted sidewalks must be raised a minimum of 1 inch over the normal level plane of the sidewalk path. Please note: It is strongly recommended that you will have proof for your records. that requests be sent Certified Mail so
