Exercise: Week Two Concept Check Due on Friday Post your 50-word response to the following: How do you

ou know when an equation has infinitely many solutions? How do you know when an equation has no solution?

How do you know if an equation has infinitely man solutions? If the equation ever becomes the fact that it is x = x, then you automatically know that any value of x will fulfill this equation, so it has infinitely many solutions. Another way to know if 2 equations have infinite solutions is if you ever get the solution x = y (with 2 equations having variables x and y). If you get this error that means that they are endless possibilities for solutions to the equation. You can also know if 2 equations have infinitely solutions if you graph them. You will notice that the 2 equations are exactly the same. How do you know if an equation has no solution? If you have 2 equations and when you solve for the 2 variables, you find out that 2 = 3, then you know that there is no solution at all. Also if you graph the 2 equations, you will see that they never intersect at all, so there is no solution. If you have an equation with one variable, you can find out if there is no solution if it asks to do an operation which is invalid in any way.
