STRATEGIC TYPES: Star Performers (High Efforts, High revenue generation) Star Performers are leaders in the business. Therefore they also generate large amounts of revenue to the company Highly pro-active and productive Exceed superiors expectations They are at the higher end of the performance continuum Perfectionists
Hard-working people They put in more efforts than required They are less pro-active than star performers and are less productive They are the most prone to pink slips after under performers
Under Performers (Low efforts, Low revenue generation) Lack in efficiency Not up to superiors expectations Not at all pro-active and neither productive They are the one who initiate the Pink Slip process
Star Performers typically need large amounts of support from the company or its team to generate revenues for the company. Star performers have the potential to increase sales and generate large amounts of revenue to the company in the future That support can be taken from solid performers and channeled into star performers Managers must decide whether to retain the strugglers to take advantage of high growth opportunities (and transform them into star performers) or loose them Management must loose the under performers to another company for their growth and to reduce cost to the company
