HTRACK DATA BACKUP, RETENTION AND RECOVERY POLICY

DATA BACKUP AND RETENTION

Daily
1. Full database exports to disk. Retention of last three exports on disk.
2. Hot backups of database. Retention of hot backups is 1 month onsite (channing) and forever offsite
(Iron Mountain) .

Monthly
1. Cold backups of the database. First saturday of the month. Retention of cold backups is 1 month
onsite (channing) and forever offsite (Iron Mountain).

DATA RECOVERY:

Intra day
1. Data was entered and deleted the same day.
2. Recovery possible but not trivial. Need to go to redo logs.

Different days
1. Data was entered and deleted on different days.
2. Recovery possible but not trivial. Need to populate backed up data into a separate schema.

DATA RECOVERY DRILL:

Yearly - First week of November.
