Possible solutions to the narrow room for fire tube bolting. 1.

On the both sides of the two mated flanges on fire tube for T103 sales tank, put a hole-drilled flat bar underneath each nut, the hole diameter is changed to 5/8 instead of . It is better to stack weld the drilled flat bar on flange plate after fitting. Of course, the bolt nominal diameter will changed to 5/8 too. 2. Cut the flange plate off the fire tube nozzle only (not the one on fire tube), change its weld type of corner to corner with 3/8 fillet height to flush type corner welding with smaller fillet height(1/4 only), refers to manhole weld as per API 650.
