Area Amps Disaster Uploader X v1.01 October 2011 http://www.disasterareaamps.com Disaster Uploader X is a Mac OS X application designed to upload new binary firmware to your Disaster Area Amps pedal or PCB. Requirements: Intel-based Mac running OSX 10.6 or later USB Cable .HEX File to program avrdude (included in package .ZIP file) avrdude.conf (included in package .ZIP fle) FTDI USB Serial Driver (available at http://www.disasterareaamps.com) Instructions: 1. Install the FTDI USB driver by running its installer package. Restart if prompted. 2. Unzip package .ZIP file to a folder on your Mac - the desktop is recommended.

3. Connect your pedal to an available USB port on your Mac. Aport on the computer itself is preferred but using a powered USB hub is usually acceptable. 4. Run Disaster Uploader X by double-clicking on its icon. 4. Select the DMC serial port. This is generally the first port with usbserial in its name.

4. Select the folder where avrdude is located. 5. Select the .HEX file to program. 6. Press OK to program your pedal.

6. Disaster Uploader X will execute a script to run avrdude. If avrdude is successful, a dialog showing Done! will appear and Disaster Uploader X will terminate. If avrdude encounters an error, please contact Disaster Area Amps for assistance.
