Fore Front End Point Protection 2010 Virus Definition Updates Using SCCM 2007 Server and WSUS

Server: Windows 2003 1. Configure the Software Update Point Component: Site Settings -->Component Configuration ->Right Click Software Update Point Component -->Properties.

2. The Properties Screen will appear. Click on Classification TAB. Choose Definition Updates and Updates.

3. Click on the products TAB and choose ForeFront End Point Protection 2010.

4. Click on the Sync Schedule TAB and choose Enable Synchronization on a schedule. Choose Simple schedule and Run every: 1 Days. Click Apply and Click OK.

5. It is normally suggested that we should not touch WSUS. But for approval we need to use WSUS. Start -->All Programs -->Administrative Tools -->Windows Server Update Services:

6. Windows Server Update Services Console Opens:

7. Click on Automatic Approvals.

8. Click on New Rule. Check: When an update is in a specific classification and When an Update is in specific product.

9. Click on any classification and choose Definition Updates and click OK
